Baby degu

well........ after looking a little closer... I have 2 little boys and 1 little girl.
I am even more excited with these little babies.. lol
Tonight we took Skillet and Dusk out and let them roam around the house in their ball and we laughed and laughed. Skillet was all over the house and Dusk basically stayed around the kitchen area only. Baby girl didn't know what to think... the balls to big for her to play with but she has a fasination with tearing up any type of ball. Rookie just followed skillet around but buy the time Dusk got in there then he was done following the ball around.
Tonight has been a busy night so not much else to report... but more coming. :)

Dusk and Skillet

Skillet is a standard gray Chinchilla, and Dusk is a Violet Chinchilla.
Skillet and Dusk come from a home in St. Louis. But now they are part of my beautiful Chinchilla family. They have been taken very good care of and are very sweet. They are both very friendly and a little scared right now being in a new place. Dusk is 3 years old and Skillet is 2. They have been with their prior owners since they were babies. They have been raised as sisters and they are our newest editions. Dusk is just all about the camera.. I get the camera out and she just sits still and poses for me.. LOOK AT THAT FACE!!!!!!!!!!!! How can you not just love her?

Bean

Here is a few more pictures of "Bean".... he kinda looks mean doesn't he?
Mean Bean lol... Actually hes really a very funny lizard... he cracks me up. Terry picks him up and holds him and he will not move... Terry will rearrange his legs and he just lets him move him all around. Then once Terry moves his legs where he thinks they need to be he leaves them there its really funny to watch. I will have to video it and get it on here.
Bean loves his fruits and veggies. He lovesssss boiled chicken to.. they say they will eat it but not much of it.. He eats it up and then stands over the bowl like hes protecting any left over crumbs.. BUT... his favorite is his fruits and veggies. He also eats crickets and meal worms. We have had to start raising our own meal worms between Bean, gliders, and hamsters everyone eats bugs .. ha!

WE HAVE BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well... this morning I did a quick check on critters and I had babies everywhere... I had a mouse that had babies, and a rat that had babies so I had to hurry and get tanks ready for them and I didn't pay that much attention to degu but well she had babies to. So I had my own little critter nursery today and didn't know it. I have 3 new baby boy degu. All three are boys. This is my first official litter of degu... and all three are boys lol. I really wanted her to have all girls but well that didn't happen but I was still blessed with three very cute boys. So here is a few pictures that I put together of my new degu family. I have already held all three boys and gave them all a quick kiss hehe!
